Invitations and Protocol
Invitations et protocole
Engagements on the Horizon are of four kinds: public publications and programmes open to all; open calls to which individuals apply; convenings by invitation; and closed diplomatic or partnership meetings, which are listed for the record only.
Requesting an Invitation

For convenings that admit guests, open the entry and choose Request an invitation. Your email application opens with a request addressed to the Horizon desk at [email protected]; sending it completes the request. The desk replies within three working days.
Delegations and Media

Diplomatic missions, partner institutions and accredited journalists should write to [email protected] with the name of the engagement, the names and roles of those attending and any protocol requirements, at least ten working days in advance.
Changes and Confirmations

Dates, venues and access may change. The Horizon is revised whenever an engagement is confirmed or amended, and the edition date at the top of this page records the latest revision. Entries saved to a personal calendar should be checked against this page.

What is On the Horizon?
On the Horizon is the institutional calendar of UNESCO REF. It records convenings, programme milestones, Media Centre publications and open calls, with an archive of past editions.
How often is the Horizon updated?
The Horizon is revised whenever an engagement is confirmed, added or amended. The edition date shown at the top of the page records the latest revision.
How do I request an invitation?
Open the engagement and choose Request an invitation. Your email application opens with a prepared request to [email protected], and sending it completes the request. The Horizon desk replies within three working days.
Can I add an engagement to my own calendar?
Yes. Engagements with a confirmed date can be saved as a calendar file that opens in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.
Who is Diza?

How can an institution propose an engagement for the Horizon?
